What exactly am I buying?

You choose the record lines for your report. Each delivered line names its source, date and limits. The free paste screen reads text you supply; it does not retrieve a live registry record. Site visits require a separate quote.

Prices are shown before you order, recalculated on the order-review page and again on our server; the server calculation is the authoritative one. The current menu and prices are on the supplier report page.

What happens if the source is unavailable?

That line is cancelled and refunded. We do not silently substitute a different source to fill the gap. This is clause 1 of the service terms, not a goodwill gesture.

Self-service report lines use a licensed Chinese business-information platform that republishes official records. Scoped L3 human checks add manual official-source rechecks of key lines. Each rechecked line states its source, date and access limits.

We do not query, proxy, cache or scrape official portals by automated means, or bypass their access controls. The table shows source paths; your order or quote confirms availability.

When do I get it, and what if you are late?

Self-service report delivery follows the window on your order confirmation, up to 72 hours after payment confirmation. If automation fails or a line needs review, we notify you and continue within the confirmed window. A scoped human check is delivered within 3 business days of payment confirmation, as stated on its quote.

If we miss the agreed window, you may cancel the affected lines and receive a full refund of those lines. Your rights under the consumer law that applies to you stay untouched.

Can I get a refund?

First order: 14 days, no questions. Tell us within 14 days of delivery if you want a refund of your first paid report, for any reason or no reason. We refund the full amount. This applies once per buyer.

Every refund is sent back through the original payment method. No Currawong account is needed. Your payment provider’s dispute process is separate and follows its own eligibility rules and deadlines. Using it does not remove your rights under our refund terms.

Beyond that window: before payment, or before fulfilment starts, cancel at no charge. After fulfilment starts, for a cancellation unrelated to a service failure we may retain only the reasonable, documented value of conforming work already done and source-query costs already incurred, and refund the balance.

For a service failure the remedies are the ones the law gives you, and nothing in our terms removes them. The full wording is clause 4 of the terms.

What happens to my documents and my report?

Company-check reports are delivered through view-only sessions. Your private link opens the report in 30-minute sessions for 7 days after delivery. During the 30-day retention period, we reopen the viewing window on request at no charge.

You can save a watermarked PDF copy from a session. It carries the order ID, export time and SHA-256 fingerprint. There is no unwatermarked download. We verify a fingerprint by email at no charge while the report text is retained.

Report text is deleted 30 days after delivery; order metadata is kept. Save your copy before then. See the privacy notice for retention and deletion requests.

The company-check form asks for an email only as an optional delivery channel, and an order can be placed anonymously. If you do give an email, it is used to run and record the order. No marketing list exists here.

Whose names appear in the report?

Company names appear in full. The legal representative is named. Other individuals appear with roles, stakes and dates, but names are withheld by default.

This is our policy for limiting personal data. It does not establish that every transfer is exempt from legal duties. See the privacy notice and permitted use of person-level records.

An optional order-level unlock extends naming to list-type person records, capped at 25 distinct named individuals per order. That cap is ours, not the law’s. If our own annual budget cannot cover your order at fulfilment time, that fee is refunded and the report is delivered with the default tiering, the rest of your order is unaffected.

What if something we published is wrong?

If a report line does not match its source: email the order ID and the line. A person rechecks the official source. We correct the error or refund that line. There is no time limit on this remedy.

If the source cannot answer your question: we explain the limit and the evidence you need next. For example, a registered address is a filing point; it does not prove a production site.

Person-level records can be incomplete, out of date, or refer to a different person with the same name. Treat an adverse hit as a question to put to the supplier, never as a proven fact about a person.

Which law applies, and who do I contact?

If your rules require arbitration: ask before ordering. We will agree in writing to HKIAC or SIAC arbitration in place of the courts named below, with no order-size threshold. Review the process and fees before choosing this route.

We do not carry professional indemnity insurance. Check whether your procurement rules require it. Our correction and refund commitments are set out above; the liability clause states the applicable limits.

The terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, and its competent courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. That is where this desk operates and where the company is registered. This choice does not reduce any mandatory consumer protection that applies to you.

For a problem with a report, email first. We do not publish a response-time target until there is real-buyer history to support one. If we cannot settle the problem, the refund terms and your payment provider’s dispute process both remain open.

Which payment methods can I use?

Someone sent you here — how do you check us before spending anything?

Start with these four checks before spending anything:

1. Use the free screen first. Paste a supplier’s registered wording and see what you get before any money is involved. It reads your pasted text and does not look up a live record.
2. Check us the way we tell you to check a supplier. Our registered name, 18-character code and licence photo are on the operator page. Put the code through our own free checker and then look us up on the official register yourself.
3. Read what a delivered report actually looks like. The specimen shows the format; sample reports show dated examples. Their source and tier labels describe those examples; the current menu governs new orders.
4. Know your exit before you enter. Your first paid report is refundable within 14 days of delivery, once per buyer. Your payment provider’s dispute process has separate eligibility rules and deadlines.

How to check a message really came from us

Our company details and report format are public. Someone else can copy them. Use the checks below when a message asks you to act.

• Email only ever comes from @currawongweb.com. A different spelling is not ours. A displayed sender address alone does not prove who sent the message.
• We never send a new or changed payment account by email. For reports, use your private order page. For goods orders, use the quote version you accepted in writing. A revised quote voids the previous version and its payment link. Email alone cannot change instructions. Do not act on requests to pay elsewhere or switch to friends-and-family.
• There are no agents, no offices, no authorised representatives. One person runs this desk. Anyone claiming to act for us, or to be our China office, is not.
• Any delivered report can be checked with us. Email its SHA-256 fingerprint to hello@currawongweb.com. We can compare it with the delivered text during the 30-day retention period, at no charge. After deletion, we can confirm the order’s existence, date and scope, but cannot recalculate the fingerprint. We do not disclose the buyer’s identity.
• We never endorse a supplier. If someone shows you a report as proof that we vetted them, that is a misuse of it. Reports are ordered self-serve and we do not check who ordered one. A clean record is not a recommendation.
• When in doubt, do not reply to the message. Type currawongweb.com yourself and use the address on this page.
