What China supplier verification costs and which route fits which decision.
Choose the spend by the decision. Read a licence you already hold for free, buy a scoped record check for a small deposit, use a desk report for a fuller company file, or pay for an on-site visit when the question is the factory floor. Every price below comes from the provider’s own public page, checked on 6 September 2026, including the rows where our desk is not the cheapest or fastest option. For scope before price, use the four-method verification comparison.
1. The four routes, and what each actually buys
- Monthly data plans. Check which records you get, when the plan renews and how to stop it. A low price helps only if the checks fit your work.
- One-off record or desk reports. Check the same company, fields and dates. Ask which parts a person reads. More fields alone do not make a report better.
- Site verification, audits and inspections. Agree the site and scope. A basic site check, production audit and batch inspection may have different prices and deliverables.
- Checks sold by sourcing agents. Ask what is included, who checks it and whether fees depend on placing an order. Ask how the agent handles any conflicts.

List the fields you need and how many firms you expect to check. Then work out the full cost. Two plans with similar prices may not include the same records.
3. Choosing by the decision, not the price
- A licence photo. Check the code format and scope wording, then match the company to a dated record. Text checks do not prove a factory exists.
- A deposit. Review company identity and the contract, invoice and beneficiary. Price does not make a payment safe. Matching names do not prove who owns the bank account.
- Tooling or a bulk order. Define the production questions and any batch checks before requesting a site quote.
- Regular supplier checks. Check the monthly total against one-off fees for the same fields. Use the evidence groups to define the scope.
4. What you get in a Currawong order

Common questions
How much does it cost to verify a Chinese supplier?
Check what the fee covers. Examples here include a US$49 desk report, a US$149 site check for one supplier and a US$398 day of factory audit work. Currawong record packs start at US$26.55. These buy different things; they are not a price range for the same service.
Is the cheapest China verification report good enough?
Check whether it covers your question and names its sources, dates and gaps. A company record alone does not prove who owns a bank account, how good the goods are or whether they will ship.
When is an on-site factory audit worth the price?
When you need to check how or where your goods will be made. Agree the site and what the visit will cover first. A check of the finished batch is a separate service.
