Bao L. Zhou, who also goes by Derrick Zhou.

I run Currawong from China and sign email as Bao L. Zhou or Derrick Zhou. I am responsible for the guides and approved human checks. This page links to my work and explains what those records can show.

What I do here

I handle scoped human checks and read Chinese company records for buyers. Self-service reports use the automated retrieval and review process. I work in Chinese and English, with AI help for drafts, translation and code.

How pages are researched, what counts as evidence and how corrections work is set out in the editorial policy. What a paid check can and cannot establish is in the trust centre.

A listing shows the author details supplied with that item. It does not prove authorship, quality or a customer outcome. The editorial policy explains how to question a claim.

03

Boundaries

I never endorse a supplier. If a supplier shows you a Currawong report as proof that we vetted them, that is a misuse of it. What protects you if I am unavailable is stated on the About page, together with the registered operating entity behind the site.

04

Questions readers ask

Are you a licensed investigator, an auditor or a law firm?

None of the three. This desk retrieves registered records and reads them for buyers. We do not certify suppliers, write legal opinions or issue credit ratings. A check tells you what a record said on a stated date. What that means for your contract is a question for your own advisers.

You say you use AI. Does AI produce the findings?

No. The editorial policy sets the line and it is short: AI output is not a source and is not cited as evidence. AI helps me draft, translate, restructure and write code. Every record value carries the source it came from and the day it was read, and review is a separate step that AI does not replace.

Why does one person’s name matter on a page like this?

Because somebody has to answer when a reading is wrong. The corrections process is published, every finding names its source and query date, and the registered operating entity is on the About page. A byline that nobody can check adds nothing to a record, so this page lists where my work actually lives.
